Set in remote coastal Vanuatu, the story follows the relationship between an indigenous (Ni-Vanuatu) community leader and an ambitious, yet naive, Australian developer.
Their combined efforts lead to a common goal: a secluded island resort.
As the two navigate the natural world and the sociality of remote community life, the indigenous man loses his sense of value in the midst of a barrage of voices directing him toward either individualism or community.
